My favourite foundations for spring and summer

With spring and summer weather approaching it's time for me to start thinking about switching up my foundation routine. In the warmer seasons I gravitate towards lighter coverage products that don't sit as heavy on my face, and products that impart SPF. The last thing that you want when it's hot outside is to have the feeling that your face is melting off. SO, I grab for BB creams over foundations. Two of my favourite BB creams are the Dr.Jart+ Waterfuse BB cream and the Smashbox Camera ready BB cream. Both products have a great SPF factor and impart a flawless finish to the skin without needing a lot of product, and without caking or feeling heavy. Another great base product is the Tarte Airbrush Foundation. It's such a finely milled powder that it melts into the skin, so you won't get any cakeiness. It's nice using a powder foundation over liquid foundation in the warmer months because you don't feel as sticky or feel like your makeup is melting, because it melds with your skin as opposed to going over top of it.
